About me

I previously worked as an Art Director on some of the UK’s best selling magazines— including newspaper supplements; women’s titles; and style publications. In this role I was fully responsible for the visual look of each magazine, undertaking several redesigns, and for the production side of checking proofs and attending the printers to ensure a quality result. I was also responsible for a team of up to four designers and the management of their career development. I left my last position to fulfil my dream of writing a novel and to pursue a freelance writing career. Unusually for someone on the visual side of magazine publishing I also wrote and always had an interest in the combination of words and images. My writing commissions have included work for Stella magazine, Women & Home and the Telegraph.
