Projects
- National Innovation Centre for Data: Bootcamp 2023I edited this event video for the National Innovation Centre for Data to promote their annual Data Bootcamp event, which trains students to learn crucial data skills. I edited together interviews with ambassadors and students to create this punchy, upbeat narrative which celebrates the day.
- Architecture at Newcastle University Close the dialogThis video was part of a huge project for Newcastle University, in which I edited around 20 initial videos to promote degrees on offer. Each of these 20 videos was edited in 16x9 (horizontal), 1x1 (square) and 9x16 (vertical), then also had a trailer in 16x9, 1x1 and 9x16, plus a thumbnail and subtitles. Every video had to be fast-paced and upbeat in order to engage with its young target audience.
- Newcastle Contemporary Art: An introThis project was an opportunity for creativity. Newcastle Contemporary Art asked for a quirky, fun video introducing themselves to new audiences. I edited interviews and b-roll into this engaging split screen style, to tell the story of the gallery and how it came to life.
- Newcastle Contemporary Art: Kuba Ryniewicz | Parallel StoriesI was asked to shoot and edit a video promoting an exhibition by Kuba Ryniewicz, at the North East gallery Newcastle Contemporary Art. After production, I edited this video in a fun, light-hearted style to capture Kuba's personality. I wove Cuba's words into a narrative to give audiences an insight into his art practice, and chose an upbeat soundtrack.
- Newcastle University: Solidarity FarmI produced and edited this video for Newcastle University Careers Service. The video tells the story of John, who received support from the careers service to start up a charity on his farm. After production, I edited the video to carve John's interview into an inspirational, motivating story. I carefully selected shots to embellish the narrative and added foley and atmos, then colour graded and added a subtle black mist effect.
