Swirl is an advocate model signed @Brother Models in Manchester and Atmosphere Faces in London. She advocates for mental health, BFRBs in particular, and she loves pushing industries towards a more diverse and inclusive approach.
Featured by a number of magazines, she often joins talks to spread positive awareness and engage in deep-layered conversations, touching topics such as overcoming depression, learning to feel confident in our body, and being comfortable in our nudity.
She is the owner of the trademark title "advocate model" that represents those models challenging old stereotypes of the media industry with their body, their words, and their actions.
Swirl is bald, and bold about it. This derives from trichotillomania, which is a body-focused repetitive behavior (BFRB) that is still in the process of being destigmatized. She's working with a woman-led association to make resources available in Italian to help normalize these disorders.
She decided to pursue her career in fashion as a model after being raised as an artisan milliner (hat maker) in Florence, IT. She is knowledgeable about what goes on behind fashion industries' doors, making her appreciate the value of artwork and design.
