About me
My name is Sylvie Convery, I am 17 years old and I am a student currently studying Applied Theatre, UAL level 3, at The BRIT School, having studied Theatre for two years previously.
During my time on the course so far I have had the opportunity to partake in the facilitation of various different arts based community projects and workshops, with a range of groups and the opportunity to perform with some of the UK’s leading applied theatre companies. I have also gained fundamental skills in workshop facilitation and session design, as well as strengthening my own skills as a performer.
Alongside my studies, I am currently employed as part time front of house staff at Parlez Local, a bar and eatery in Brockley, where i have a gained skills in customer service, teamwork and reliability.
I am very grateful for the abundance of opportunities and resources that have allowed me to grow into a a diligent and hardworking young woman, who is eager to apply herself to new things.
I am coming to the end of my final year at school, so I hope to use this platform to get a more of a sense of the different pathways available to me post college and to begin networking within the industry.
