About me
I'm a Brighton based textile designer student from Hungary. My inspiration comes from the natural environment, like to capture the impressions of the nature as clouds, shadows, waves, colours of the sunset/sunrise. Lately my favourite medium is watercolour and ink preferably with lots of water. The past 6 months I've tried out different techniques like screen and lino printing as well as textile dyeing to move away from the computer a little bit. Last year I explored the possibilities of photoshop in terms of pattern making. I developed a strong body of work out of these pieces so I decided to challenge myself with different projects.
Projects
  • Photoshoot with Veronica Teo
Photoshoot with Veronica TeoI took my ice dyed fabric pieces for a photosoot with a friend of mine, Veronica Teo. The original idea was an old fashioned environment, hook them up on a vintage hook, or place them in a counrtyside home. We took a walk on the streets of Brighton and found many interesting places. We used coloured walls as background as well as an old red car. My hands are important at each time, as this way we bring the designs closer to people, let's say humanise them.

Final Major Project 2017 - impressions of the nature, ice dyeingFor my Final Project I tented to explore the ice dyeing process inspired by the sea, its environment and the colours of sunset.

Summer project- 100 places visited, kaleidoscopesFor my Summer project in 2016, I edited my photos in photoshop. I visited my parents in Hungary in the stunning Hungarian countryside. I was really into the centralised, mesmerising, kaleidoscopic images, here are the best ones.

Summer project- 100 places visited- Hungarian countrysideI captured the beauty of the Hungarian countryside as a part of my Summer project. I wanted to develop my photography skills, I started to use manual setting on my camera to discover the possibilities.
  • Summer project- 100 places visited- Budapest
Summer project- 100 places visited- BudapestI specifically photographed the contrasts of the lights and shadows and their relations. I've shot lots of stunning images.

Education
    Foundation Degree Art Design Textiles
    Brighton, United Kingdom
I started a foundation course at Brighton and Hove city collage to find out my way. About the middle of the first year I chose my pathway which is textile design. Mostly I'm working after my photos, during the years I developed my skills on my own. Photography has always been my passion, I still think I'm equally a photographer and a textile designer. My inspiration is coming from the nature, where I can calm down and capture all the plants and clouds as well as the colours of the landscape.
