About me
I am a final year Journalism student at the University of Sheffield, due to be completing my studies in June of this year. My studies in Journalism have given me a passion for content creation and distribution, and my work experience has proven that a career involving public relations and communication is one that I would love to pursue.

I am part of the team bringing Yorkshire's first Maggie's centre, which offers support to those living with a cancer diagnosis. I have full control of the centre's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn), for which I create daily content. Content includes fundraising, real-life stories, general information and plugging our campaigns such as the Buy a Brick campaign, which is in collaboration with The Yorkshire Evening Post. I also create content for The Post that they publish bi-weekly.

When home from University, I am involved in the distribution and marketing of brochures, as well as working on the bar and in the box office. I have thrived working in such a creative environment, that also touches upon and makes use of skills I've gained as part of my degree.

I am currently a final year Journalism student at The University of Sheffield, due to be completing my studies in June of this year. Through my studies, I have been trained in court reporting and so have passed exams on media law, regulations and ethics. News-days in print and broadcast have equipped me with the real-time feel of deadlines, as if the content doesn’t go out on time there will be no content, not to mention the organisational skills that normal University deadlines have given me. Content production and distribution have been drilled into me since day one of my course when they sent me out into the streets of Sheffield with nothing but a Dictaphone and the instruction that I mustn’t return until I have a story. Though challenging at the time, my creativity for finding and creating content has blossomed. In this multi-media age, every story I write must also have accompanying social media content, as what would be the point in creating content that isn’t consumed.
