About me
My name is Tamires and I'm a graphic designer with expertise in brand, packaging, editorial, typography and social media. An imaginative, creative and naturally curious person who loves to find unique and fresh design solutions no matter how challenging the project.
In each collaboration, whether it's as part of a team or working with new clients and partners, I relish the moment I am able to realise the vision of the brand or product.
I started to work in 2018 as a freelancer in Portugal, focusing initially on branding, however over the subsequent years I have developed and widened my experience through working with various clients and companies in a variety of specialties. Through these opportunities I have been able to explore different areas as a graphic designer. I treat every new project and role as an opportunity to grow and develop my skills, both personally and professionally.

As a freelancer I have been working on projects that focus on visual identity for offline and online support, such as restaurants, beauty places, snack-bars, dental health, hospitality,
fashion brands, travel companies, and weddings.
I have been exploring the world of branding, graphic design and creative direction to be able to not only be aesthetically pleasing but also connect in a more deep and meaningful way with the clients needs.

Merci Maman is a Franco-British company that creates meaningful and personalised jewellery engraved for all the world, managed from 6 different countries.
My role at Merci Maman was a Mid level graphic designer with various different tasks and responsibilities.
In terms of campaigns, the process started with brainstorming and art direction with the brand team to decide all assets and visuals for each campain. I had the opportunity to work on more than 10 campaigns during my work time at merci maman as Kids Edit, Entwined Collection, Spring Edit, Summer Edit and Sales, Christmas, valentines day, my journey, Love links, beaded edition and many others.
All campaigns needed the same assets and processes. These included design templates for social media, images retouching, leaflets, catalogues packings,final art, creation of banners, newsletters and different types of Ads that I needed to provide and manage with the visual producer, a part-time freelancer for all 6 countries.
My role required me to work independently but also relied heavily on being able to seamlessly transition to working closely with my team. I learned to be more proactive and very organised with deadlines, liaising with print shops and design studios and replying to all
requests from all marketing teams.
I also had the opportunity to lead the development of planned future rebranding of the company.
My Graphic and Multimedia Design course allowed me to study these two complementary areas of Communication Design, from concept development to the final communication object, be it on paper, on screen or a hybrid product.
