About me
About me... okay let me start with words or phrases used to describe me: - Bubbly - Caring - Empathetic - Resilient - Loyal 'You have such a warming presence that make people feel like they've known them for ages' 'You're always on a high which is so refreshing to be around in and out of the workplace' I am a qualified designer who specialises in Homeware and Jewellery. I was fortunate enough to have an amazing higher education experience and gained the skills in using Jesmonite, Resin and Glassware. Working on Projects with NotCutt, Sonos and British designer/Upcycler Max McMurdo, which all lead to successful results with a lot of ups and downs that really tested my patience along the way. I am hungry to expand my horizon in marketing, research and social media. It plays such a big part in any style of business. I have started working with an Upcoming business Copybox Document Systems to increase their size through adverts and pop ups. Its all a work is progress but so far so good! I am looking for any type of work within these fields that would help to build my portfolio. Come and Say Hi!
Projects
  • CAD - Blender
CAD - BlenderOne project was to use Blender and create a light shade inspired by scandinavian design, which was then 3D printed for our end of year exhibition.
  • Speaker Dock
Speaker DockI was given a brief by a designer to create a Speaker dock for a home that is compatible for an iPhone to sit or stand. Materials consisted of: - Model Foam A great material to help with prototypes to really guide you on the form, structure and the ergonomics to suit the customer. - Leather Adding leather to a product I always feel it adds a sense of luxury. For me, it tied the piece together. -Cork A very popular sustainable material that is very versatile within product design. - Acrylic
  • Jesmonite
JesmoniteJesmonite is an combination of a reactive mineral base and a pure water based acrylic resin. It is used to replicate the appearance and texture of any surface finish in a number of colours. During my years studying at Bedford college, I was able to work very close with the material and learn about its characteristics. The two types of Jesmonite I mainly used were AC100 and AC730.

My role has led me to be very confident and able to communicate effectively with a wide range of enquiries from customers on a face to face basis. I was trusted to relay stop to meet brand standards. Majority of the time I was working by myself which required me to think how I would use my hours successfully. However, working in a team is a big part of the role. This helps get jobs done quicker and adequate.
