About me
My works are a constant visual exploration of looking for fantasy in reality. I consider myself as an artist working as a designer. Being a textile designer from an art school background, I aspire to incorporate the art instinct in creating designs. I like to think of my textile designs as an artwork with a purpose. Consequently, it makes the designs look painterly and organic. As a designer, I am also determined in identifying ways to practice sustainable design. Making optimal use of the resources and inclusive designing in textiles are some of the focus points of my textile works. I further like to explore how I could use my skills for the society. The people, places and cultures around me with the combination of my mythical lines lets me weave my expressions.
Projects
  • MOH MAYA
MOH MAYAThe seed of mythology can be found deep within the culture and community. These narratives have sustained ages due to the fact that they are still valid in contemporary situations. Myths are, often, stories of extraordinary characters fleshed out using symbolism. ‘Moh Maya’ is a sustainably designed fabric collection inspired from these mythical superhumans with a psychedelic twist. The five designs in this collection come from one of the principal characters of mythologies from five continents.
