I am a writer and performance poet. I have been featured nationwide, including at Waltham Forest Mela 2019, the Migration and Diaspora Literature Festival 2019, AWAN (Arab Women Artists Now) 2018 festival and at the Poetry Cafe in London. I was the subject of a documentary on spoken word shown at the BFI called 'Hear My Voice' (2017). Recently I have rounded off my final year as an English Literature and Creative Writing student in producing a thirty page script, a five minute stand-up comedy set and a collection of poetry. My main topics of interest are mental health, displacement, generational trauma, family and romantic relationships, faith, identity and womanhood. My other job roles include project management for the Muslim women running club, ASRA, founded by influencer Sahra-Isha.Locked Pro Plan feature
Taking meeting minutes on the layout of the sessions, scouting locations, communicating with our in-house designer for our social media marketing strategy and coordinating management team meetings.
Working in a shop that focuses on health and wellbeing has allowed me to engage with customers on a personal level. Often building a rapport with the local customers, who would come back or even some who would send positive emails about me specifically. I believe my skill set, coupled with my customer service and creative background, will be a great asset to any organisation.
For literature I specialised in stand-up comedy, American literature, writings from multicultural Britain, Literature and Cinema. In creative writing my area of focus was screenwriting, poetry and short stories.
