- Guildhall School of Music & Drama Creative EntrepreneursThe Guildhall School of Music & Drama (GSMD) is one of the world’s leading conservatoires and drama schools, offering musicians, actors, stage managers and theatre technicians an inspiring environment in which to develop as artists and professionals.The School is a global leader of creative and professional practice and promotes innovation, experiment and research. It has been rated the number one specialist institution in the UK by the Guardian University Guide 2013 and 2014. As well as having over 800 students in higher education, GSMD is also the UK’s leading provider of specialist music training at the under-18 level with nearly 2,500 students in Junior Guildhall and the Centre for Young Musicians. The Creative Entrepreneurs scheme, set up in partnership with Cause4, forms one strand of the Cause4 Talent Programme, alongside the AFP Fellows and the Cause4 Entrepreneurship Programme. The scheme is aimed at supporting GSMD alumni to set up their own business or social enterprise, to develop entrepreneurship skills, and to raise vital seed funding. It initially focusses on working with a cohort of recent alumni, offering a package of seminars, workshops, mentoring and pitching opportunities to aid transition to professional life.
