TG Media Group are a Guildford based media company that release monthly publications, weekly newsletters, along with running a popular website that’s viewed by over 100,000 unique users monthly. In our busy news room I write and delegate copy for the entertainment and sports departments for both our magazine that has over 70,000 subscribers, and our website. Along with writing/editing, I also create lively video-based content for all of our social media outlets.
Covering sporting fixtures across the south coast on a freelance basis for the Press Association. Duties include delivering copy on final whistles, post-match and pre-match interviews, minute-by-minute coverage as well as voice-given feedback to a sub-editor in the office. Sporting fixtures range from Football League matches to Rugby Union Fixtures.
Working as a sub-editor and reporter at the Portsmouth News, I covered local sporting fixtures, including football, rugby, hockey and American football, as well as local non-sporting current affairs. My work for the News ranges from live reporting to full-page pieces, feature articles and interviews. This has improved my writing as a whole and has given me experience in a busy news room.
