About me
I am a creative designer with an interest in developing my career as a designer/artist. Design is a wonderful tool for evolving, solve problems by offering creative solutions, challenging yourself with each project and help others. Make a living out of a passion is my goal and I hope to help others through art and creativity. Collaborate with likeminded people, sharing ethics and passions, motivating each other. I hold a certificate in Interior Design from Spain that is where I come from and I have recently graduated in furniture design BA at the CASS, London Metropolitan University in London. I started a recycling project before studying Furniture Design where I was creating handmade lamps and hand sewn bags and purses. I traded in different markets with all the goods but I didn’t do so well and decided to study furniture design where I would learn about product design, industrial practice, ect Meantime studying I was working for Pret a Manger as a team leader at front house where I got a 3 NVQ Diploma in hospitality supervision and leadership (QCF), learned a lot about working on a team, leadership, motivate staff members working to tight deadlines and prioritize tasks. At the moment while searching for a creative job I am trading and managing a stall at various Farmers Food Markets in London and I also work as a Cook in a Vegan kitchen. Two weeks ago I took part in a project with refugees and immigrants where the final project was a documentary where all of us expressed individually and artistically the meaning of identity and it got screened at the London Migration Film Festival in South Bank. My academic and professional profile granted me with advanced knowledge and practice of design computer programs in Microsoft Windows and Mac operating systems, hands on projects where craftsmanship and industrial practice merge, etc I am a very sociable and friendly self-starter individual, with a proven enthusiastic attitude towards every design project I have worked on. I can work well both, individually and as part of a collaborative team. Furthermore, I can adapt very well to new working environments. I’m really passionate about art, design, creativity and human needs and this keeps me motivated at all time.
