About me
Currently CTL of Design and Technology at Stroud High School, teaching textiles throughout key stage 3, 4 and 5 and as subject leader with three staff and responsibilities including, managing the budget, ordering equipment and stock, providing INSET, running department meetings writing S.O.W.’s, carrying out lesson observations for ‘professional Development Reviews ’ monitoring value added and keeping an up to date department. Appointed moderator for the AQA Textiles GCSE by the board in 1999. Appointed as a Senior moderator, Team Leader and Coursework Advisor in 2002, to lead and present ‘Teacher Support Meetings’ and provide advice and support for over 100 schools in the country. A thorough working knowledge of industrial practice and work related learning has been developed through a background in buying and management; in the classroom CAD/CAM and control technology, have recently been further expanded to include ‘Speed Step’ for which I am now a registered teacher, Design Tools, and Customizer 2000 software applications. Further challenges have included the Mentoring of PGCE students
