About me

Emerging from a place of mirth and childlike naiveté, The Drawing Space brings together creative expression with a spirit of experimentation. Inspired by subtle hues and quirky shapes, the illustration studio is passionate about harnessing playful energies, transforming simple drawings into a powerful tool of communication, and creating beautiful, meaningful stories. Since 2008, The Drawing Space’s fun characters and imaginative visuals have adorned numerous posters, flyers and murals across a wide range of industries including arts and culture, fashion, sports and government agencies. The Drawing Space is keen to collaborate with writers and publishers to create fully-illustrated children’s books, and connect with fellow creatives.

• Wild GuardiansIllustrated series, 2023 This captivating series takes viewers on a vivid journey through the world of endangered species, shedding light on the beauty and fragility of our planet's wildlife. The series showcases magnificent creatures like the regal White rhinoceros, the graceful Armadillo, and the enchanting Clouded leopard. "Wild Guardians" fosters a deep appreciation for the urgent need to conserve and protect our endangered friends.
• Match Up!An initiative by Sports Singapore to inculcate good sporting values in children age 7 to 12 under the initiative National Standards for Youth Sports. A total of 10 illustrations were commissioned. This programme started its preliminary rounds in a few primary schools in 2011. August, 2011
• Toy Robot TypefaceInspired by the tin toys from MINT Museum of Toys. The toy robots are designed into a set of typeface as part of a typography assignment in school. June, 2009
• Tiny Teddy BiscuitsThis biscuit loved by all is given a new packaging design featuring their 3 signature flavours. Done as part of a packaging assignment in school. Available in 3 flavours : Honey, Chocolate & Chocolate Half-coated. 2009
• Illustrated postcardsSoft pastels, ink & watercolour Inspired by the news and the quirks of daily living, these series of illustrations were produced on postcard sized paper and were initially developed for the Pameran Poskad exhibition in 2010 and subsequently for the Design Festa Gallery in Tokyo in 2011. 2010 - 2019
• The Food Lover’s JourneyIllustrated in black and white, the story tells of the relationship that a person has with food. The pages are also interwoven with vibrant textures of food.
