I interned at Capture Production Studios for a month and supported the director, producer and third party interests through carrying out archive research for a documentary on Nelson Mandela, currently in post production which features some of the last interviews he ever gave. I also undertook administrative tasks, ran general errands and did outreach and marketing. Tasks ranged from cutting micro trailers for another project The Man From Mo’Wax, depicting the rise and fall of UK underground DJ James Lavelle to dealing with the printers to ensure the design of limited edition posters were finished and delivered on time.

I completed my undergraduate degree and was awarded a high 2:1 for my studies. My core focus within my history degree was split between the sub genres of cultural, environmental and intellectual history between 1200-21st century. I covered topics such as genocide throughout modern history, sixties America, the trans Atlantic slave trade and the accuracy of films that portray historical events.
