I am a BA First Class Honors, Fashion Management with Marketing graduate. As a fashion stylist, I have had the pleasure of working with luxury brands such as Suitsupply and Hugo Boss where I was selected out of twenty thousand applicants worldwide, to assist in their visual department and manage the visual merchandising intern program. Operating from head office in the heart of New York’s Manhattan, I had the opportunity to work closely with the creative VM director and other key individuals within the company and industry. Under this luxury German brand’s guidance I install windows, store displays and managed their notorious showrooms, where pieces came directly off the catwalk and into my hands ready for display.
My next career move saw me under the employment of Dutch fashion house Suitsupply, where I was enrolled on a week’s high tailoring master-class in Holland. Upon conclusion and returning to London, I had the opportunity to manage the visual aspects for all London based stores as well as represent the city during styling meetings. As the new seasons where unraveled I worked closely with stylists from around the world to create new concepts and display ideas. I was thrilled when an opportunity arose, allowing me to create the first in-store visual merchandising directive, which became one of my most valued achievements. Authoring this book helped to realize and nurture my passion for writing as a creative outlet, this in turn led me to writing influential pieces for my own blog as well as style platforms such as Zee & Co.
This exposure to the industry from such influential brands further enhanced my skills, strengthening my ability to cope in any and most environments. As I learn and develop from every role, I can now confidently say I can easily adapt from a studio environment where I am styling on set to retail design, social media, marketing and many other key aspects within the industry that I have been fortunate enough to experience so far.
