About me
Having worked in the music industry for almost a decade, I've built a huge amount of experience in marketing global album campaigns as well as gaining an extensive contact network across the music industry. I have experience as a creative director, global project manager and am an award winning music video commissioner, with experience in commercially successful and critically acclaimed music campaigns. A large part of my personal process over the years has been to work closely with the artists and management to truly understand where they are both coming from and mould that into appropriate goals, targets and shape a successful, creative and engaging rollout with compelling assets.

    My role as Creative Director + Project Manager at Partisan Records spanned the entire roster of the label and included the artists and projects on Knitting Factory Records such as Fela Kuti’s catalogue and Femi Kuti. Artists I worked with include IDLES, Fontaines D.C., Laura Marling, Cigarettes After Sex, Ultraísta, Pottery, Westerman, Femi Kuti, Made Kuti. My role covered the following: - Devising and implementing the global marketing strategy and timelines for my releases - identifying key campaign targets at DSP’s, retail, social media plot, brands, street, tube and widers outdoor marketing plots, bespoke creative physical & digital marketing, event organisation and management, merch development and more. - Working closely with artists on the label’s roster to develop a visual “world” to accompany their music in the mediums of cover art, photographs, music videos, short form content and all creative aspects outside of the music and bridging the intersection between A&R and marketing: translating the artist’s vision to the marketing team and vice-versa - Fostering and maintaining a significant global contact network of contacts who I regularly worked with during campaigns - graphic designers, directors, photographers, visual artists, directors, mastering engineers, producers and artists, pluggers and as well as my contemporaries in the industry. - Bridging the intersection between A&R and marketing: translating the artist’s vision to the marketing team and vice-versa - Overseeing all of label’s creative output to maintain a high level of quality in line with brand identity - Developing and maintaining brand and media relationships with a view to procuring partnerships, paid opportunities and content funding - Generally representing the label across the industry, maintaining relationships with all stakeholders

    I project managed a roster of artists across the label group - Ninja Tune, Big Dada, Counter Records. Additionally, I creative directed the high priority campaigns across the label group (Ninja Tune, Big Dada, Counter Records, Technicolour) and oversaw Ninja Tunes’ label branding. Some Artists I project managed or commissioned for include Young Fathers, Little Dragon, Maribou State, Cinematic Orchestra, Actress, Jordan Rakei, Jayda G, Roots Manuva, Big Wild, Machinedrum, The Bug, Visionist, Romare, Congo Natty, Darq E Freaker, EERA, and Pional. Responsible for creating the overall campaign plans and budget for my releases and working with the international teams to implement them globally. Commissioned and coordinated the timely delivery of all campaign assets including artwork, video's, masters, remixes, radio edits to campaign timeline. Writing creative marketing pitches for new artists joining the roster.. Overseeing the marketing strategy and brand development for the Ninja Tune label, contributing to our curated events and representing them on curated panels and awards.
