Hi, I'm Thom, a Copywriter from Nottingham currently working in London.
I started my career writing campaign names and straplines, social content, SEO-optimised web copy, Google display and PPC ads, and marketing emails at an agency in Manchester's Northern Quarter. I learned to adapt to clients ranging across FMCG, Health & Wellbeing, Retail, Tourism, Finance, Travel & Leisure, NPO and Tech.
From 2016-2018, I managed digital and social content in-house at Fuller's Brewery. As well as developing the tone of voice and social strategy for several high-profile brands, I wrote social ads, blog posts and landing pages. I defined and delivered content best practices to the Brewery's network of 200+ pub managers, enabling them to market their pubs through local social accounts.
In my current role at TMW Unlimited, I create campaigns and content across digital, outdoor and traditional media channels, writing short and longform copy for a range of brands including Vodafone, BMW, Canon,the RFU, and GTR.
I have worked with global brands including Unilever, Coca-Cola, Renault, Nikon, Barclays and Red Bull, priding myself in adapting quickly to a range of TOVs across a multitude of platforms.
Before working in digital marketing, I achieved a Merit in my MA Creative Writing and a First Class (Hons) degree in English.

- Frontier Lager | Print/Digital/SpecFuller's Frontier Lager was awarded Champion Keg Lager at the 2017 International Brewing Awards. The ad I wrote was a celebration of this prize and an opportunity to reach new customers through trade and digital. The Instagram Story mockup shows how we could have driven trial through social targeting.
- Logitech G | Rage Quits | Social VideoLaunching Logitech G's Pro X Gamer Headset - designed with esports pros, intended for aspiring gamers - meant showcasing the superior audio quality while acknowledging the inevitable anger incurred when you demolish other players. I storyboarded a 40" video, with short-form cutsdown, and scripted supers to tie together the contrasting UGC footage with the supplied product assets.
