Responsibilities involve international circulation and trade marketing for a range of major third party publisher clients. Creating and implementing marketing strategies for new title launches and key worldwide expansions whilst maximising publisher profitability. Use of market and product knowledge to deliver timely and accurate annual budgets, quarterly forecasts along with monthly and weekly sales estimates to ensure they are reflective of actual trading at all times. Managing trade marketing budget as agreed with publisher and continuously seeking out creative promotional opportunities to enhance and maximise all potential sales. Networking with international agents and key publishing contacts. Representing Seymour at publisher meetings and conferences. Applying and developing strong Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills.
This role entailed managing all aspects of allocation and circulation throughout the supply chain taking seasonality and trends into consideration. Maintaining control of retail budgets and sales forecasts for magazine portfolio. Line management of Circulation Executive personnel – motivating, coaching and developing. Devising, developing and implementing title business plans in line with retail and publisher objectives. Analysing ROI of group/title marketing activity and providing recommendations to improve future performance. Selling-in new product launches to retailers. Organisation of group Point of Sale material and competitions to run in accordance with budget and deadlines. Liaising with client, retail and third party agencies. Building and developing strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
