THOMAS HARVEY is a musician and artist at Vaughan Music, Music Journalist for The Line of Best Fit, The 405 and Neon Music, Songwriter and graduate from Leeds College of Music.
A British singer/songwriter as pseudonym Vaughan, he is a multi-instrumentalist (keyboard, guitar, voice) and showcases an emotive blend of alt-pop and electronic sounds delivering individualism and eloquent lyrical themes of a bruised reality.
As a songwriter he has been part of songwriting camps in countries including Denmark, Holland and Italy working with companies including Universal Publishing, Sony ATV and Tileyard.

- The Abstraction of Social, 2017'The Abstraction of Social' is my ongoing final on degree project, consisting of a series of small animations set around different social interactions between people and our own mental states. These consist of loss, irritants, personal mental issues, but also positive interactions such as the socialising of children through games and play. The project is also in collaboration with talented musician Thomas Harvey who responds and writes music to the individual contexts of each animation segment.
- Visual Incompetence Exhibition Short-Film, 2018With the impact of consumerism, the Internet and advertising, the world we currently live in is visually over stimulating to a point where one questions the effects on the individual. My work is concerned with how this affects the human state of mind, in particular from a male perspective. The installation Visual Incompetence is comprised of a single film exploring how the abundance of visual stimuli and gender stereotypes might condition male identity and sexual expectations.
