Working within a creative textile environment processing orders, giving quotations and liaising with customers. Checking fabric stock, creating sample orders, answering the telephone and processing payments.
The MEL Group is a worldwide engineering solution provider to the aerospace, defence and industrial sectors. Placing orders onto a system using FoxPro which once created get given to engineers for repair or overhaul. They are then released with the correct certificates. I do this within a team but am also able to work confidently by myself. I contact customers through email to confirm orders and delivery specifications. I also interact with other customers over the phone to help with queries and transfer them to the correct departments.
Answering the phone to customers helping with queries and giving quotes for labour. Creating spreadsheets to hold data for contact details of customers, employee information and stockists. Sending emails to stockists when needing more supplies or when researching for new products. Updating clients on a daily basis with work schedules and keeping the whole system organised.
Working on the shop floor as part of a team making sure every customer gets the full support and help that they need. Taking time when the shop floor is quiet to go through training plans with managers to make sure everything is up to date and I am working to my targets. Taking part in conference calls giving my opinion and discussing aims.
