I have completed 3 years at AAA School of Advertising in South Africa, thus graduating with a BA in Creative Brand Communications and Desktop Publishing & Multimedia. As an Art Director I am familiar with receiving and understanding an idea/direction from a client. I am then able to create and conceptualize pushing the idea to new and exciting boundaries that are sure to have an instant, positive impact. During my intern placement, I was a Junior Art Director intern where I managed my own research, liaised with various divisions, worked on live briefs and participated in-group project meetings. Utilizing excellent communication skills, I developed and maintained successful working relationships with their lead creatives.
I was assigned to a member of the UAE royal family. I worked constantly around the clock for the duration of their stay in Cape Town. I would plan and organize their daily activities, make bookings and reservations, personally drove them around, ran errands and did the shopping, planned and coordinated special occasions and events. Applying effective organizational skills I gained trust and appreciation from my employer and established a reputable relationship.

Required to meticulously check online entries, documenting submitted physical materials and other supplementary materials, company and contact details, as well as checking all entries against a database of previous entries to ensure they had not been previously entered or entered by another company. Required to read, interpret and amend written submissions, describe the strategy and implementation and judge whether it is eligible. Contact and liaise with global advertising communication and creative agencies in response to problematic or complex entries via email or phone. Worked to a tight, rigorous schedule often requiring long hours, hard work and perseverance in order to complete entry processing on schedule and meet demanding deadlines.
Required to develop a new and innovative marketing campaign for Consent is Sexy-a sexual rights campaign targeting students online, using a selection of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop designs to illustrate the concept as well as a written proposal to present to a panel of investors. Designed various creative assets to accompany a new business pitch; assisted in the branding and identity development of new concepts.
