About me
Hi, my name is Tiarnan O'Sullivan is a Freelance Writer & Director based in London. My early years were spent between both the UK and Ireland, before I moved to London permanently in 2011 to start his career as a freelance writer and director working in the film and television industries. My wide and varied experiences as a both a writer and director includes work on features, shorts, music videos, promos and online content and he has worked with many prominent actors and comedians including Sir Ian Mckellan, Ray Winstone, Paul Reiser, Ben Whishaw, Aiden Gillen, Omid Djalili, Jack Dee, Eddie Izzard, and Michael McIntyre amongst others. Some of my notable writing and directing credits include: - Dark comedy feature film Playing Dead. - Award nominated short films Sleeper Cell and Laid To Rest. - TV Pilot The Amazing World of Charlie starring Paul Reiser and Omid Djalili. - TV Pilot Clapped Out starring Omid Djalili, Owen O'Neill and Terry Alderton. - TV Pilot Grassy Noel starring Adrian Dunbar - TV Pilot Take The Lead starring Shide Boss and Jan Anderson. - Music video for Englands Going Out (To Do It Again), which was chosen as the official England Anthem for the 2014 Football World Cup. - Omid Djalili: Schmuck For the Night - Live at the Hammersmith Apollo. - Omid Djalili: Iranalamadingdong - Live at the Hammersmith Apollo. - Documentary Saving CACA starring Sir Ian McKellen and Jonathan Hyde. Alongside my own credits, I also spent a year as a charity filmmaker for prominent youth charity "The Mix". I worked pre-dominantly as a self-shooter during this time and grew the charity’s Youtube channel to over 10,000 subscribers and gained over 5 million views - making it the most popular youth charity page in the country. Following on from this role, over the last several years I have also spent time as a freelance tutor at the MET Film School in Ealing Studios - where I teach writing, directing, editing and camera and sound skills - meaning I am also comfortable with all of the technical aspects of any director / self-shooting role. However, alongside my work as a filmmaker, I also have a Business Studies degree - majoring in marketing and entrepreneurship - from the University of Limerick, Ireland. This is then backed up by time spent at "Mediacontact.ie" - a Dublin-based Media company - and "We Are Colony" - a VOD platform where I spent time as the "Content Manager". I also has a number of feature films and television projects currently in development and he is represented by Cowley, Know and Guy - http://www.cowleyknoxandguy.co.uk/
