Hi, I’m a Video Editor and Motion Graphic Designer working in Premiere Pro CC, After Effects CC and Photoshop, mostly for online, digital and DOOP for retail & entertainment brands and corporate promo videos. Looking for a more stable job with a career path more in the production or broadcasting arena, as I freelance and have settled down I want a more reliable level of work.
My work has spanned from simple typography/lower thirds and ‘mood’ background animation upto more complex pseudo 3D cameras and expressions, snow, motion comics, virtual sets, lighting anim, C4D Lite 3D. I come from an animation/art school & photography background - so storyboarding/sketching ideas for me is natural as is real-world lighting.
Good at problem solving and creating new ways of doing something, as a freelancer I was quite often parachuted in to work with a team to fix issues or do training, and had to find solutions without much guidance. I’m also a fast learner and have been using technology to create for 3 decades, so I usually have the concepts down pat, and can transfer those skills. I can also code a little, although I’m not a coder, expressions and scripting are not a problem and can hack stuff, or adapt.
I’ve been editing since before University (on physical formats like Umatic and S-VHS), and later digital NLE working with Premiere since the early 00s. I also know AVID (trained to MC101) and used it on my own projects, as well as Resolve, Speedgrade, sound tools like Ableton, Audition & REAPER. I have expert knowledge of Photoshop (since 2.5) and good knowledge of Illustrator. I know C4D Lite well. Also as well as my own personal projects (mashup/glitch videos) I’ve worked on independent short film, showing my grading, sound and editing skills (link below)
