About me
I am a Sociology graduate from the University of Cambridge currently working in Marketing. I have specific interests in: Content Marketing, Communications, Brand Partnerships and Experiential Marketing. I also have obtained a Level 6 Qualification in Professional Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. On top of my full-time job, I am a freelance journalist. I've always had a passion for music, and that shows in my journalism. I've interviewed high-profile musicians such as Grammy-nominated artists including Jazmine Sullivan, Dua Lipa and Tiana Major9, as well as rising stars such as Enny, Amaarae, Bree Runway and others. I've also written about film, TV and politics. Check out my freelance portfolio at www.timisotire.com My wealth of experience makes me a person who is creative, adaptable and organised.

I’m a freelance journalist for multiple publications. My specialism is in interviewing musicians that have historically had their genres/histories ignored in wider music journalism. • I’ve written profiles for musicians including Dua Lipa, Jazmine Sullivan, Tiana Major9, Enny, Aluna (of AlunaGeogre) and Amaarae for publications such as Refinery 29, gal-dem, DIY, The Guardian, NME, Bustle and others. • In January 2021, I did a cover interview with Ghanaian musician Amaarae for The Guardian in print. The online article had over 40k views in its first few hours of publication. • My NME profile for Pop Star, Bree Runway, was shared by Pop Crave on Twitter and achieved over 2.4 likes.
