About me
Toby Mitchell is an award-winning, easy to work with British commercial photographer and author from Bath, England. Firmly rooted in a lifestyle aesthetic, Toby’s work spans interiors, portraiture and travel. Toby has developed a unique style that exudes warmth and clarity. His eye for detail and his clean, minimal informed approach, has led to a diverse range of global brands, hospitality groups and agencies such as: Facebook, Ennismore, Eurostar, Made Thought, Soho House and Moët Hennessy. Editorially, some of Toby’s international credits include Condé Nast Traveller, Cereal Magazine, Monocle Magazine and Travel & Leisure. Swedish book publishers NHP commissioned Toby in 2017-2018 to shoot four travel photography books: ‘The Weekender’ (Bath, Portland, Copenhagen & Malmö) which are stocked in most major book stores worldwide. Toby currently lives in the countryside near Bath, UK with his wife, Sophia.

  • Tesco | BBH
    Tesco | BBHBBH London commissioned me at the beginning of Summer 2021 to photograph and direct a nationwide stills and motion campaign to advertise a selection of Tesco’s homeware items. Across two days, my team and I executed a series of six set ups, with three being lit to emulate the summer (2021) and three for winter (2022).

    Kontorhaus, Berlin - The Office Group (TOG)In August 2020 The Office Group sent me to Germany to photograph their most recent work space in Berlin. Kontorhaus is a vast array of spaces, stacked into six floors in central Berlin. Defined by oceans of window light and considered heritage design by Weiss-Heiten Studio, the space welcomes the modern team or freelancer into a forward thinking environment.

    Luxe Provisions - Southern California CampaignIn January 2019, US start up Luxe Provisions flew me to LA for a week to shoot their initial launch campaign. We travelled all over Southern California photographing a number of sets and scenarios to promote all of the products the company intended to sell. The premise of Luxe Provisions is to curate collections of items people who own rental homes could buy to deck out their rentals. With a focus on the luxury market, it was a particularly fun shoot with a diverse array of looks.
