Currently working with this independent magazine heading up the ‘Food and Drink’ section; writing reviews of restaurants and bars from around the UK. As a contributor to both the printed magazine and TMRW website, our aim is create a comprehensive overview of ‘must visit’ establishments. Alongside this I have contributed to the magazines social media marketing campaigns and on issue launch events.
During my time at Apple I have worked in different areas of their retail stores as both on the shop floor and at the Genius Bar as a certified Apple technician. I work with customers to choose the correct product for them, give training on how to get the most out of them and have knowledge and experience of how to repair them. As an experienced member of a relatively new team in Leeds , I was relied upon to give advice and support. The role requires organisational skills to ensure the team perform efficiently, to remain calm and concentrated in times of tension, to empathise with customers and be able to present multiple solutions to any one problem. I have been a member of the Visual Merchandising team since day one and have since gone on to mentor team members in each store I have worked in. This gave me the opportunity to showcase the brand in a totally different way to a normal sales assistant and it allowed me to pass on my skills and eye for detail to others. From March-September 2014, I was chosen to take part in a six month career experience in which I coordinated and led learning for the Leeds store. This encompassed delivering both formal and in-formal training to over 90 members of staff, working with the Leadership team to organise schedules and training priorities, as well as weekly presentations and working one-on-one with my colleagues to allow me to train them in the best way for them
