I joined Mercury Studios (formerly Eagle Rock Entertainment) digital team to grow our editorial output on our YouTube channel (currently at 1.64 million subscribers).
Responsibilities include planning & pre-production, scripting, shooting & lighting, interview & direction, post-production, editing & finishing, thumbnail creation, and publishing.
Operating in the music industry has bolstered my understanding of the legal processes involved in entertainment production that features copyrighted work, including: clearances, fair dealing (including quotation, critique & review), copyright claims, copyright strikes, rights ownership, & buyouts.

In my two year tenure, a large part of my job was to grow the BuzzFeed UK YouTube channel. We grew from less than 10,000 subscribers to in excess of 190,000 (a 1900% increase). Additionally, we began our TikTok efforts earlier in 2021 and reached over 37,000 followers.
From ideation, pre-production, and shooting, to editing, packaging & promotion - I produced, end to end, very successful videos. I am highly skilled, very adaptable, and learn new processes quickly and efficiently. During my time at BuzzFeed, I produced, edited and/or starred in over 130 videos.
Working with our freelance editors, providing notes and feedback on pieces of content until they are up to a high standard. Creation of new workflows, implementation of new editorial tracking solutions, and kit tracking solutions. Frequently liaising with other departments, including social, posts, tech, sales, operations and legal to create the best content and keep the production process running smoothly.
Many of my videos have become successful, repeatable formats which generate editorial interest, international virality, and platform revenue. My productions have amassed many millions of views across our social platforms.
