I'm a 2D animator with strong skills in character animation, storyboarding, narrative and creative development. I've experience working with the creative team for animation at Disney Channel, made animation for the Barbican, V&A Museum of Childhood, Hostelworld, Royal Academy of Music, Horniman Museum and Canals and Rivers Trust, as well as making my own short films which have played at various international animation festivals. I'm passionate about stories, character and effectively communicating ideas. Please get in touch to discuss projects!
- Conchúr White - “Bikini Crops” (Official Music Video)My previous music videos have been very narrative based, but with this song the goal was to highlight performance, interesting visuals and to work as way of introducing the artist to an audience (as he has not appeared in his previous videos). The video was made with a combination of rotoscope animation, video collage, live performance and other pieces of 2D animation.
- Conchúr White - “Channing Tatum” (Official Music Video)This was a fun project to animate and direct. It's a very narrative driven song and has a nice mix of sadness as well as a bit of tongue in cheek humour, which very much suits my style. The budget and turn around time was quite shirt so the design was kept very minimal, keeping the focus on characters emotions. It was fun to play around and interpret the lyrics very literally to create an unusual little world for the characters to live in.
- Advance Base - Rabbits (Official Music Video)Advance Base's music is incredibly driven by story and character, so I decided to make this video more like a narrative driven short film, rather than a typically visually driven music video. Owen from Advance Base was really supportive of my ideas for the film, letting me interpret and fill in spaces in the story he tells in song, allowing me to envision the dog as this chaotic but loving character who gives both chaos and caring to the main character, Lily.
