For the last 5 years I have been working in the creative industries, gaining experience in a broad range of multidisciplinary fields from social entrepreneurship, to service design, to luxury digital advertising. I am now working as a freelance creative and strategist. In this turbulent year, its never felt more crucial for brands and businesses to get it right - whether that’s resonating with consumers, finding greater purpose or simply surviving. The right story well told is the goal, the creative and strategy are the catalysts. This is what gets me up in the morning.
I have recently moved from a full time role to become freelance, this is to allow me to broaden my horizons and allow time for a wider range of projects. I am now working between London, Hamburg and Berlin on projects ranging through creative, strategy and social responsibility. Current clients include This Because (London) & Verstärker (Hamburg), alongside a pro bono project to create a process for charities to follow when creating communications, as to not detrimentally harm their end goals. As part of the creative team at Condé Nast Digital, it was my role to follow briefs from concept to execution, offering creative content solutions for a plethora of luxury lifestyle brands. I regularly: - Developed creative ideas and content strategies for national and international clients. - Produced and led creative pitches. - Wrote scripts and copy. - Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to produce and execute campaigns. - Worked closely with development teams to solve technical and creative problems as and when they arose. - Worked collaboratively in-house with each of the Condé Nast titles to ensure every project adhered to the correct tone of voice.
As both founder and Creative Director of Nature of the Beast it was my role to develop the brand and tone of voice, ensuring that NOTB had a unique offering in what is an incredibly competitive market. Alongside the brand development side, I regularly: - Researched interesting clients that aligned with NOTB's goals and views. - Developed ideas and lead creative pitches, helping clients solve social or environmental issues. - Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to produce and execute ideas and campaigns. - Imagined and developed company initiated projects to test theories and ideas within communications. - Worked incredibly closely with clients, to ensure no part of their story was missing from anything NOTB produced. Clients included - H&M, LemonAid Beverages, Shambala Festival, Rubies in the Rubble, Fashion Revolution Day & EcoCompanion.
