Working as a project editor at one of the world’s largest publishers, I am looking to build upon my extensive editorial, copy writing, project management and media experience to progress in my editorial career. Having worked at a range of industry-leading establishments within publishing, broadcast media and creative environments, I have excelled in creating high-quality content that portrays ideas and learning in an approachable and engaging manner. I am now looking to take the opportunity to continue developing my editorial skills and utilise my extensive background in content creation to step into a role that truly combines my passions.
As part of the International Schools team, I am responsible for managing projects, editors and freelancers, alongside proofreading, copy editing and development work. Within this market-leading educational publishers, I was responsible for the creation, implementation and editing of digital learning resources and content. Utilising specialised software and agile production methods, I engaged with publishing and digital content creation across the educational spectrum. Working as part of a small editorial team, I was responsible for editing, proofing and formatting academic reports and text for a renowned medical academic journal. The role required a high degree of editorial skill owing to many of the contributors not speaking english as a first language. Key responsibilities: • Editing and proofing academic content • Liaising with international academic and resolving content queries • Image processing and manipulation.
Undertaking an internship, I was mainly tasked with working on a major upcoming drama for BBC Radio 4. Whilst here, alongside gaining invaluable firsthand experience, I was able to undertake a range of industry standard training. Key responsibilities: • Editing and proofing audio production scripts • Assisting in recordings and production work.
As part of Selfridges’ Festival of Imagination, The Butcher’s Apron radio show was broadcast weekly from one of the store’s windows. My role involved meeting, liaising and briefing high-profile guests within a strict live-environment schedule whilst maintaining the show's social media and marketing presence throughout broadcasts. Over the initial six- show period, there had been over 35,000 downloads of the show.
