London based director and character animator.
Along with many other projects, Tom has made comedy animations for the BBC, directed a music video for The Wombats, and designed the graphics and animations for all 30 episodes of BBC 2’s gameshow ‘Beat The Brain’ with John Craven.
He currently works as the in-house animator for ‘I Fucking Love Science’, and has recently directed and animated promotional films for Bill Gates and Netflix,
Tom’s film ‘The Penguin Who Couldn’t Swim’, made with the BFI and Wingspan Productions, was broadcast on BBC 4 and is currently available to watch on the BFIplayer.
Projects
- The Penguin Who Couldn't SwimA short animation funded by the BBC and the BFI. It was screened on BBC 4 in October 2018. It is an animation about a disabled penguin who lives on a rocky island in the southern seas, where she feels isolated from the rest of her colony. She is inventive, resourceful and tough but frustrated about what she cannot do. Until one day she makes a discovery. A story about disability, made by a disabled animator.
