- Blue CocoonLoved working on Blue Cocoon. Such a sincere and mysterious project to work as a publicist for, again raising £3,000 for production. The real challenge this time was shooting on 16mm film, the graininess and texture of conveying a narrative of outmoded behaviour, whilst detailing the meticulously structured composition and production design. I'm still closely working with the director as the film is virtually circulating festivals.
- Foreign LandWorking as a publicist on Foreign Land, I crowdfunded £3,000 for production, securing our fantastic actors and props. It was amazing working with a handful of Cornwall's top talent, creating an atmospheric WWII gem. The post-production was unfortunately stumped due to COVID-19, but a 2021 festival run is still on the cards.
- Film JournalismOriginally starting in 2016, I jumped into film journalism alongside my studies to assist my film knowledge and cinematic studies. My fondness for writing, specifically criticism, has grown since, expanding my oeuvre of publications and adaptable skills. My most notable achievements? Festival coverage for Cannes and Berlinale. Bylines include Little White Lies; Zavvi; Vague Visages; The Indiependent; Top10Films; The Film Magazine and more!

My time at Falmouth expanded my horizons and extended my film palette. Learning about post-war cinema, sex and gender, and future cinema, for example, has only strengthened my passion for film. I worked on two graduation shorts ('Blue Cocoon' and 'Foreign Land') as a research and publicist, gathering valuable communication and discipline experience along the way. My dissertation focused on the growth and reception of film journalism interviewing industry professionals and conducting months of research to defend my arguments. My grades have consistently been a 2:1 and 1st across three years.
