About me
I’ve completed master’s program at Ravensbourne University London where I’m completing a Master’s in communication design. I would describe myself as a quick learning, an original creator and a hard worker who is passionate about graphics and illustration. I realised how much I love giving an identity or culture to brands when I was interning for Samsonite. This experience helped me understand how to develop a good reputation for a brand and making visuals with a new brand concept and identity for different seasons and items. During my BA in metal craft at Sunshin Women’s University in South Korea, I’ve gained skills for graphic software such as Photoshop and Illustrator. As my major was metal craft, I’ve learnt processes of how to transform a visual design into a real tactile product. It led me to understand how different materials work not only on the screen, and grasp the wide scope of designing processes. While I was in my BA, I learnt to deal with customers by participating in the COEX Craft Fair. I had a stand where I promoted my won brand, by selling metal works to customers and visitors of the fair. In 2017 I moved to The United Kingdom to follow a course in visual communication at the Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts. It was here that I specialised my visual design skills by working with various design platforms such as InDesign, Sketch-Up, Premier Pro and After Effects. Moving to the UK and learning visual communications, facilitated me to come up with more diverse well-rounded original ideas, as I could source inspiration from different backgrounds. I strongly believe that applying my view of design and thinking based on how I used to learn visuals back in Korea to design industry, refined by completing further education in UK delivers unique styles. I would represent myself as ‘awareness designer’. I have made projects to raise public awareness of animal rights and Korean culture. Also I have experience in designing brands in terms of creating brand identities through strong illustrations, colours and images. Layout images and shapes to create new ideas is my strength in design. I would like to share my ideas and skills here. By hiring me as a design intern, you would acquire a hardworking, independent, flexible, enthusiastic, motivated, well-rounded and creative person.
