On 24 April 2013, 1,134 people were killed and over 2,500 were injured when the Rana Plaza complex collapsed in Dhaka, Bangladesh. We believe that’s too many people to lose on one day. As the event coordinator of GU Fashion Revolution, I have been responsible for planning and developing several events and activities which all aim for the promotion of sustainable and attentive fashion. In addition, I have been working in extending or increasing our network with other branches of Fashion Revolution in other countries, such as Colombia and Pakistan. In these events, I try to encourage users to acquire responsible shopping habits, in which they are conscious of the production behind the clothes they get.

I am the founder and president of the Social Project called Open Linguistic Mission (OLM), which seeks for a multicultural interaction among international students and young children of a low-resource academic institution in Bogota, Colombia, called Instituto Comercial Oasis. Weekly, a team of international and local mentors, perform academic sessions to three grades (2nd, 3rd and 4th), in which the kids have the opportunity to do a cultural immersion with undergraduate students of different nationalities.
