Vieira Vasco was born Vasco Vieira in Porto, a couple of years ago. He grew up to be a creative and has been living and working in London since 2012. He's worked as a director, screenwriter, video editor and camera operator, while co-founding and running Cinephilia Film Fest. Previous credits include the webseries Holy Popcorn (2018), the documentary '25 Years In The Making' (2015), 'The Coffee Shop Series' (2012-2014) and the Arouca Film Festival winner of Best Documentary, 'Jibberland' (2010).
As a cinephile he has an unquenchable craving for horror and comedy, with a soft spot for classic cinema. As a human, he rarely speaks in the third person.
Projects
- 25 Years In The MakingDirected, shot and edited by Vieira Vasco, '25 Years In The Making' is a behind-the-scenes documentary about the feature film 'Shuttlecock (Director's Cut)', which is a rework of the 1993 film 'Shuttlecock', starring Alan Bates and Lambert Wilson. It dives deep into the challenge of bringing back most of the original cast into the new layered and compelling father-son story, "twenty odd years later".
- Holy PopcornHoly Popcorn, created and directed by Vv, is a comedy series following Robin on his last week as a manager of an iconic London cinema. All Robin wants is no drama, no complaints, nothing but to have fun...unlike everyone else, who do everything in their power to keep him from leaving. Holy Popcorn was made possible by the support and collaboration of over 40 unpaid creatives dedicated to the art of storytelling. Follow Holy Popcorn on Youtube, Facebook and Instagram.
