About me
I am a history graduate pursuing a career within the creative sphere. I have spent the last three months exploring Berlin, submerged within its subversive art world. From fleeting exhibition such as: ‘Vernissage: body*self’ and ‘Feer in Berlin,’ to the more prestigious presentations of Art Week and the European Month of Photography. My love of culture is not however, confined to art. I often find myself lost to theatre and dance. The day of my return to England I watched Akram Khan’s ‘Gieselle,’ hosted by Sadler’s Wells. There was a raw, undulating beauty to this ballet performance, it sung to the soul. To work within a mecca of artistic expression would be my ideal.

Social re-launch of Space ExplorerI am currently re-launching the social media for arts platform, Space Explorer. I have started with Instagram and will soon progress onto Twitter. Take a peak: https://www.instagram.com/spaceexplorerhq/
  • The Oriental Woman within the Occidental Imagination
The Oriental Woman within the Occidental ImaginationThe Orient has been transformed from a geographical space into a mythical idea, imbued with highly emotive symbolism. It is a theatrical space, a performance of egocentric fantasies, a land where stifled desire could be satisfied, and the senses gratified.

Work history
    Social Media Strategist
    London, United KingdomFreelance
I am a creative assistant to artist, Robin Mellor. Last April, spurred into action by an insatiable appetite for adventure, Robin undertook a project of gargantuan ambition, ‘Space Explorer.’ This outdoor art trail was devised to foster feelings of freedom and incite a sense of wonder. It featured enormous images of desert dwellers secreted throughout the streets of Hackney. I have been employed by Robin to develop a social strategy to promote engagement. This strategy is entirely of my own creation, and will be launched within the next two weeks. In addition to this work I: • Act as a point of contact for telephone and written enquires. • Assist Robin on shoots. • Prepare presentations to send to prospective clients and buyers.

STYLEBOP.com is a luxury fashion platform with offices in Berlin. My moving abroad demonstrated my dedication to my career. Whilst in Berlin I was exposed to culture in beautiful abundance. During my time of employment I: • Acted as first point of contact. • Analyzed and presented date extracted from RIVALIQ. • Brainstormed with the social team, creating strategy and contributing new ideas. • Broadcast, and clipped all press coverage. • Developed writing skills through copywriting for Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and instagram. • Developed and delivered email marketing campaigns. • Employed persuasive skills to implement a complete redesign of images, and content used on social media. • Enhanced my research skills through the creation of a personal instagram audit, which I later presented to the entire company. • Excelled in making editorial judgments as I selected, created, managed, and scheduled all daily content. • Maintained organisation of the office, from creating a filing system, to ordering office supplies. • Managed the team diary. • Prepared PowerPoint presentations, briefs, and press promotions. • Scheduled meetings, appointments and events. • Used personal communication skills to greet, and host guests.

Education
    BA(Hons) History
     - Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom
I graduated with a 2.1 in history, having worked full time during my studies. To balance university and work, I had to be self-motivated and organised, particularly whilst writing my thesis: ‘The Oriental Woman within the Occidental Imagination.’ In this study I explored: feminism, romanticism, and racial stereotyping through: theatre, dance, literature, and art. I synthesised, communicated, and archived vast swathes of sources, a process that required planning, organisation, and forward thinking. I achieved first class honours for my efforts, and proved the importance of culture in society.
