Marketing Coordinator & Global Distributor

Chapel

Jul 2015
  • CHAPEL specialises in leather goods (bags & footwear) designed, sourced and made in Woodstock, Cape Town - http://chapelgoods.co.za/ CHAPEL were looking to move their market position from the highstreet, to the high-end fashion couture domain. Working closely with the CEO and employees of CHAPEL for 3 months I devised a Marketing Budget, Strategy & Campaign for the next 2 years. Initially working with the CHAPEL team to understand their processes, I moved on to individually creating a Marketing Plan applying my innovative and practical solutions to achieve the targets required over the next 2 years. Sustaining a relationship overseas while the CHAPEL team follows my Marketing Plan is an exciting challenge and one I look forward to watch progress. Working internationally increased my knowledge and confidence in culturally different environments. My relationship with CHAPEL started by modelling for their new collection. From this, I showed confidence and enthusiasm towards their business as I turned our casual relationship to a professional one. Being selected out of the blue for the Marketing Coordinator position shows my excellent relationship building skills and my knowledge of how much energy I know is required to achieve the results needed by individuals and their business. Now I am based back in London, UK, I am seeking out potential stockists to move their brand to into the UK Leather Goods market.

In-house Curator & Supervisor

Garben Enterprises Orange Tree, Nottingham

Jul 2014 - Jul 2015
  • My role as a Part-Time Supervisor at The Orange Tree included management, delegation, marketing, budgeting, stock control, maintenance and customer focused relations of an up market gastro pub/bar. The entrepreneurial art sales business I started meant I had to collate, curate, install and sell artworks from local, international and student artists in order to create a contemporary but welcoming atmosphere. Engaging with the works and artists in this space with a lot of freedom is what makes this role so exciting. Every time I hang a piece of work I learn something new about shapes, spaces, vision and perception.

2014

Evaluator for UK Young Artists Leicester Festival

UK Young Artists

Nov 2014 - Dec 2014
  • Employed as temporary staff for the UK Young Artists Leicester Festival, my role included recording one on one interviews with artists, organisers, volunteers and audience members. Then to collate all the data together down to statistics in order to evaluate the success and failures of the festival. This role was great for my artistic development. Being able to have one-on-one conversations with such a wide range of artists from so many different mediums excited my contemporary artistic nature. Also, being a helping hand with the backstage action made me a key player with the festival turning me into a very reliable point of contact.
