Currently a postgraduate student at the Royal College of Art, I have been seeking opportunities within the arts field with a special interest in education and contemporary art practice dissemination to develop and nurture my experience. If I had to describe myself with three words, I’d use creative, well-organised and driven; thanks to my studies, I’ve further developed experience in photography theory and practice, curation and critical writing. My current interest revolves around the sculptural qualities of the image and the intersection between labour, performance and photography. During my BA and MA, I have also been working as a full time Assistant Manager in the hospitality sector; this has allowed me to learn valuable and transferable skills such as managing staff members, administration (Excel, Word and Outlook), organising events and liaising with clients while still attending university and pushing my artistic practice forward. Furthermore, I have had the pleasure to work besides my tutors during my last year at Middlesex University as a student learning assistant, this experience has instilled in me a passion for teaching and has made me realise this is a career direction I’d like to pursue.
I have always taken initiative to be part of any extra curricular and self-initiated activities such as organising the Royal College of Art Offprint table, volunteering for a period of 6 months at the Camden Arts Centre and collectively curating exhibitions. I regularly attend artists talks, events, exhibitions and fairs that mostly relate to contemporary visual arts with a special focus on photography.
