My final MA project and research practice involved the production of an illustrated poetry book concerned with rewilding combined with elements of classical myth and fictional imaginings based on the stories the ecological world animates to us. The project included research into animal dreams inspired by the work of James Hillman and Carl Jung and the reemergence and fading presences of animals in the natural world. I also used alchemical processes in connection with the reemergence of animals in the collective human imagination. Working with the animal form in paper mache and clay, I focused on the fragility and porousness of the medium in the animal world due to the unmaking and remaking of ecosystems and habitats. My work also looks at the reclamation of urban spaces and patterns of growth and ecosystem developments in urban, remote areas and edge lands. I also have a particular interest in the mythic imagination.
