About me

I am professional, hard-working, and outgoing individual. I have a love for all things fashion from trends to fabrics, sales and shoes. With my HND in fashion design and degree in fashion production and business i have gained in depth knowledge and experience in fashion, trend forecasting, sewing, business and creating tech packs. Through my studies i have also gained skills in adobe creative suite, Microsoft applications and in sewing which all can come in use in the fashion world. Since i have a great understanding of fashion and styling, i am always on trend and my retail training has increased my knowledge in fashion retailing which will allow me to be the best communicator and motivated person. My most recent employment as a sales assistant at a luxury shoe retailer, Kurt Geiger, has given me the opportunity to develop both professionally and in confidence. I am very passionate about fashion and always looking for the next challenge. In my spare time i love to shop, go out with friends and paint. Creative Business ProposalFor my degree in Fashion Business and Production, I had to come up with a sustainable and innovative fashion business idea. I realised how badly the environment was being affected by the way the fashion industry uses dyes for clothing so I came up with the idea of using natural ways of dying fabrics. Since October 2018 I have been working for the House of Fraser Kurt Geiger concession. My responsibilities include welcoming customers and getting shoes from the stockrooms, making sure I am getting the right shoe style, size and colour, keeping the shop floor clean, meeting high standards and targets and deal with CVS orders. I have great experience in ensuring back of house standards are maintained by ensuring all stock is put away alphabetically and neatly and by pair-checking all stock. I took enjoy working in the stock room and took pride on it being tidy and correct. I had to make sure that my uniform choices show character and showcase the latest shoes that can be bought. I had to be familiar with the latest key colour, textures and fabrics for each season, so I can give my fashion advice to customers. There are times where I must work on my own (usually weeknights) which has helped me become a lot more confident with approaching people and how to work independently. I also must handle and take care of deliveries and taking note of every shoe/accessory that comes and putting them away. I have some knowledge of stock controlling as I had the opportunity to maintaining reports of purchasing and pricing, but I am wanting to expand my knowledge on stock controlling.
