Hi I'm Will. I am 22 years old and I am studying in my final year of BA Graphic Design at Arts University Bournemouth. Being multidisciplinary I thrive in curation, innovation and social, ethical, sustainable design with my strong passion for research-based learning and idea generation fuelling my work. What do I enjoy most? Creating opportunities and exploring new ways of working. One of the biggest reasons the creative industry appealed to me was the high level of connectivity between disciplines and how incredible something can become with collaboration. My latest creative piece focussed on men’s mental health and how we can raise awareness about the subject through social media marketing, a motion graphic based film and social interaction, which was a success collaboratively. Throughout my time on the course, I have always had a drive to commit to external projects. Some of the things I have done in the last six months include the curation of two national exhibitions, a speaker at the HEA Annual Conference, AUB Student Ambassador, Representative Photo-Journalist at Google HQ for Ideas Foundation, Canon, AUB, Project Everyone at the launch of Mission 2020. All of which has motivated me to create more opportunities for myself and learn different skills to better myself as a designer. Innovation is a word I like to exercise. Currently, I am working on a variety of briefs and competitions such as ISTD, D&AD, RSA and SHINE, whilst running 909 club night events at The Old Fire Station in order to raise money for graduate shows. I am aiming to achieve a first at university which further demonstrates my ability to cope under pressure and in fact, I thrive off of it. As a keen bartender I have built my personality and confidence in a customer facing role which has strengthened my social skills over the past few years to no end. I believe that this is what can lead to great collaborative efforts within the workplace and has allowed me to demonstrate skills in leadership in every project I am involved with.

I was tasked with creating an event or campaign collaboratively to drive and promote Virgin's Start Up scheme. I had 24 hours to turn this around and made it as one of two winners.
