- Transforming the online platform of HermesHermes is currently positioned as one of the largest carriers in the UK delivering over 200 million parcels a year for some of UK’s largest and most well-known brands. At the beginning of 2017 they embarked on an ambitious 3-year digital transition plan that would revolutionise the business. My role requires working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to create experiential and engaging responsive websites with emphasis on creating a clear usability and accessibility.
Currently I am tasked with liaising and taking forward work for Skoda, including web design for the recent launch of the Skoda Kodiaq, and their collaboration with the Prince’s Trust and Paloma Faith. Through prioritisation, communication and project management skills such as planning, working in a team and time management, I am able to come up with a number of innovative concepts.
Primary duties include the ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously, by identifying inventive approaches to client briefs through wireframes, and a deep knowledge of typography, colour and compositions to create more innovative design solutions, and advising clients and consultants on the use of interactive content on the site therefore improving the user experience. To ensure my creative answers are financially viable and successful, I seek out assistance and advice from project managers and developers, therefore eliminating any potential development issues.
Related tasks include regularly updating and retouching photography and creating iconography to answer the requirements of the client’s brief whilst using content management systems to ensure live websites are updated with specific content and imagery.
