- To provide warm, sincere and engaging service at all times;
- Ensure a smooth and seamless meeting planner/guest experience, by communicating with all departments within the hotel;
- General document and correspondence production and distribution to include but not be limited to: client contract letters, production of amenity requests and VIP cards, handover documents, BEOs, facsimile cover sheets, daily events details and maintaining filing;
- Use of Opera Sales and Catering to track, solicit, book and follow up on accounts;
Create floor plans for each event to ensure banquets and clients are in agreement prior to set up;
- Build creative menus, mindful of food costs, labour cost and kitchen capabilities in consultation with chefs; Build partnership with the Banquet team to ensure service standards are maintained;
- Partner with Banquet operations at beginning of shift, throughout shift, and at end of shift; to ensure consistent information sharing;
- Expedite event bookings, prepare resumes and compile and distribute conference agendas and event orders;
- Conduct any/all site inspections as required. Able to handle ‘walk-in’ inquiries;
- Attend necessary meetings within hotel that affect/are affected by the Catering, Conference Services &/or Events department;
- Create and promote unique Wedding and Proposal packages;
- Soliciting new wedding and social catering accounts, entertaining and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and/or exceed food and beverage revenue goals;
- Inspect VIP rooms, guest rooms, and/or hospitality suites;
- Resolve guest complaints when necessary;
- Organize catering/meeting spaces etc for football clubs and national team’s;
