About me
I am an animator and illustrator originally from China, and specializing in hand drawn animation. I am now in the final production of my graduation film at the Royal College of Art. It will soon be screened to the public in June 2015. I am energetic and dedicated while working, and I am also an easygoing person in a group, and willing to cooperate and help with others. I have always been fascinated about movement. In my past practice, I’ve been using animation to capture the tactile visual movement. My talent in character design has appealed in my practice since my BA study in Kingston University. In 2011, I was awarded the First Prize in Concept Design for Salman Rushdie’s Luka and the Fire of Life by Random House, and had directed the animation for the promotion of the book in the following year. Although animation has always been my main interest in my practice in filmmaking, I discovered my passion in storytelling and desperately want to expand my practice with new technology and three-dimensional space. I believe working in a group of talented people specializing in different disciplines in filmmaking will be a great opportunity to learn and create.
