About me
I am a literature and arts enthusiast, who has undertaken varied work in the realms of contemporary art, sustainability and publishing. On a freelance basis, through the past fours years, I've contributed to Cairo-based art gallery's mission to promote contemporary Egyptian art internationally, by representing the gallery at various international fairs (e.g. 1:54 Marrakech, 1:54 London, Beirut Art Fair), facilitating sales of artworks and developing a vision for a stronger digital presence. I interned for 5 months at an independent publishing house, gaining invaluable insight into the world of book production, promotion and distribution. Upon graduation from Cambridge University, I took on a consulting role in which I advised international organisations around social sustainability themes, ensuring the inclusion of host communities in Egypt and helping them 'give back' through meaningful and creative community development initiatives. I then spent 6 months on an FTC in NYC, where I supported the business development function of boutique art agency Kreëmart by introducing effective project management processes and managing partnerships with artists, corporate partners, art institutions and clients.
I have recently moved back to London, where I'm working as a part-time bookseller, while exploring possible avenues for my career progression. I am a curious, dedicated people's person. I speak Italian, Arabic, English and German fluently, as well some French. Foremost, I enjoy writing (creatively and technically) and thinking strategically to make things work.
