About me
Based in Cambridge, I am a visual communicator and surface pattern designer with a first class BA(Hons) degree in Illustration. My aim is to inspire an audience in unexpected ways, by using abstracted, playful forms and innovative design. I am passionate about colour and pattern, and enjoy taking information that wasn’t originally visual then re-imagining it into something unexpected and visually interesting. I am an organised and enthusiastic individual who is open to new challenges. With one year of design experience, I am looking for new opportunities within the design industry, as well as within engaging environments such as Museum & Heritage. I enjoy applying pattern based work to surfaces, as well as placing it beside information. I am also open to commissions. Please feel free to drop me an email if you have any queries. yasminaldrich@gmail.com Website: www.yasminaldrich.co.uk Instagram: @yasmin.illustration

This booklet was the solution to museum club from home as a result of lockdown, and encourages kids to get creative whilst learning about the Norwich textile industry. The activity was featured on the Museum of Norwich websi

Working with the Kick the Dust Project worker to create workshops for young people, and participating in 'Museum Club' sessions to see these workshops in action. During lockdown, I enjoyed designing a weaving activity to make Museum Club possible from home. It was featured on the Museum of Norwich website for Refugee Week.

The job involves designing embroidery for the company's bespoke handmade slippers. I bring customers imaginings to life; designing and ordering designs requested. I recently designed a new wallpaper for the shopfront, tailoring my visual style to have a vintage feel.
