Senior Content and communications executiveReed Exhibitions Plc
London, United KingdomFull Time
My role now is much more specialised and really helped me develop skills in digital marketing that are essential to the strategy. I manage and produce the content across all emails, social media, video, website, blogs, and podcasts in the World Travel Market portfolio of shows. I have a passion for using creativity within my role and this has meant that I am always looking for a new way to speak to our audience and utilize the tools we have. This role has allowed me to expand my horizons and be more creative, understand personas, and develop the brand in a new direction.
Since starting this role, like everyone, I had to adapt to the challenges of 2020. I launched an online hub with up-to-date blogs and webinars, and I also helped launched two huge virtual events.
One of the best things I achieved in my role was being able to join the Global Race Committee and work directly with the company’s CEO to achieve our initiatives. Since the return of events and travel I have achieved consistent growth in my marketing campaigns, and I was promoted so now I mentor 3 people in the central content team.
I have a great understanding of how to create a strategy to reach specific goals and KPIs, and I know how to work in a demanding, fast paced environment that demands constant adaptations. I am ready now to take the next step and progress in my career in an industry that I am passionate about.
My main responsibilities are:
· Marketing strategy and fulfilment
· Email plan and writing all email content
· Video strategy, fulfilment and editing
· Social media strategy and fulfilment (Sprout social)
· Paid advertising strategy targeting and creating content
· Online content hub management
· Blog/articles strategy (trend reports)
· Global Race Committee
· Campaign tracking and reporting
· Design on Canva and Adobe

I was the Marketing Executive for Reed on the World Travel Market portfolio of shows for just over 3 years. This role was very broad across various areas on marketing in events and taught me a lot about how different areas go hand in hand. It expanded my knowledge and expertise in partnerships, content, communication plans, design and branding. I really found my confidence in that role and was ready to focus on an area of expertise. My journalistic background allowed me to understand my audience and in turn utilise my skills in copy-writing and communications.
My main responsibilities were:
• Email – creating the exhibitor comms plan and executing it (smartsheet and eloqua)
• Copy-writing emails, website
• Email data segmentation
• Writing the brand guidelines and implementing them across everything produced (onsite, website, collateral etc)
