- Bench 23 - Concrete Furniture for Public SpacesThe research began by investigating people’s behaviour in parks and public spaces and what people need from parks, this furniture offers a comfortable seat with an appropriate angle to make people face each other and feel closer like belonging in a group. This project was taken into consideration with what the city council prefers as a furniture choice in public spaces. By interviewing experts, preferences, examples and advices were addressed. Concrete material is a durable material against use and hard wear with a low maintenance level and significantly cheaper than any other material. The Furniture is modular with two different angled seats. Its modularity provides limitless arrangements, forming small private booths for people to socialize or even a space divider piece. The uniqueness of its seat construction, made by fabric forming concrete material offers the viewer and the user something unusual and mind-blowing
- Collaborative Gaming ConsoleThere are many important benefits of gaming, however one of the most important negative impact is that we get socialize isolated. This concept combines gaming experience and a reason of bringing people together. A low system console which can be connected to other 1 or 3 identical consoles to form a more powerful machine. That will offer different gaming modes to the players but also new games which can be only played with the full 4 console installment. The results would be to attract and make owners to collaborate to get the experience of high-end, high-graphics games and rearrange a meeting to continue their saved games. The console can be used to play low-medium games like Android games and by connecting it to one more console it will change to a Duel/Co-op mode to continue the game by the help of a friend or challenging each other into dueling. An all in one gaming console. The Games are stored and can be purchased via internet through an online Account. The controller can be mounted onto the console for easy carrying to a friend’s house. The console is the key to bring people together and collaborate while the materials and the equal specification drive the users not to worry of getting their own console back but whichever is available. - TransWaterTransWater is a DIY instruction booklet for water transportation related solutions The big idea is not only to provide a solution, but also help Kenyans in a long term solution TransWater will provide the booklets to Kenyans to use them to choose the solution that fits them according to their needs and wants, any health injuries they got. Building the product by themselves, people will get self-confident but also eliminate the need of any supplier since the materials are locally available and the solutions would be maintenance free. The different solutions available in the booklet will serve different people, different cultures and also can be used in different ways. Solutions for everyone The building instructions are simple and understood by anyone, the booklet only provides the important assembly methods and the overall form of the solutions so people can use any material they got available and build their water transportation method. The vision of the future would be that people will use the booklet to build products and sell them to others to generate income, create jobs and improve the economy of their community
